When I started thinking about selling software upgrades via NFT for PREMINT, it felt like the easiest way to experiment was to create a few and list them on OpenSea. Putting the time/effort into a custom contract felt like it’d be a mistake if the experiment didn’t work. I wanted to shorten the feedback cycle and just get something listed.

Well, it worked. And since then, I’ve been manually creating PREMINT Creator Passes for months. 800 passes later, it’s time to move to our own contract. The PREMINT Creator Key.

The PREMINT Creator Key has the same upgrade benefits as the original Pass. It just makes life easier for us (flexibility of our own contract) and the purchase process easier for users (purchase directly from our website at creators.premint.xyz, not OpenSea).

Like the original Pass, the Key is consider burned when activated there should be no secondary sales for this NFT. The NFT itself is more of a receipt than anything else.
